Acceptance and eligibility
By accessing LnkBit, creating a short link, registering an account, or using a LnkBit redirect, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you use LnkBit for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.
The LnkBit service
LnkBit converts eligible HTTP and HTTPS destination URLs into short links. Registered users may save links in a private dashboard and view visit analytics. A short link redirects visitors to a third-party destination selected by its creator.
Some features may be limited, changed, or withdrawn as the service develops. Creating a short link does not guarantee that it or its destination will remain available permanently.
Accounts and security
You must provide accurate information, keep it current, protect your password, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law says otherwise.
Do not share access with unauthorized persons, create accounts to evade restrictions, or impersonate another person or organization.
Acceptable use
You may use LnkBit for lawful personal or business purposes when you have the right to share the destination and your use does not harm visitors, third parties, or the service. You are responsible for checking that your links and campaigns comply with applicable laws and platform rules.
Prohibited content and conduct
You may not use LnkBit to create, distribute, promote, or conceal:
- Phishing, fraud, scams, spoofing, impersonation, or deceptive redirects.
- Malware, harmful code, credential theft, hacking, or attempts to bypass security controls.
- Spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, abusive advertising, or manipulation of engagement.
- Illegal goods, services, content, or activity, including content that exploits children.
- Threats, harassment, hate, doxxing, non-consensual intimate material, or encouragement of violence or self-harm.
- Content that infringes copyright, trademarks, privacy, publicity, or other third-party rights.
- Redirect chains, open redirects, or other methods intended to hide the final destination or evade review.
You also may not scrape or overload the service, probe it for vulnerabilities, access it through unauthorized automation, reverse engineer it, interfere with another user, or circumvent rate limits, blocks, or account restrictions.
Your links and third-party sites
You control the destination you submit and remain responsible for it, including its content, availability, permissions, and legal compliance. You grant LnkBit the limited permission needed to store the destination, generate the short link, redirect visitors, and provide related analytics.
LnkBit does not own, operate, approve, or endorse third-party destinations. Visiting them is subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
Analytics and technical data
When the website or a short link is visited, LnkBit may process the page path without its query string, IP address, browser or user-agent information, operating system, device category, referring page, visit time, and a hashed random visitor identifier. A protected first-party visitor cookie supports page counts and unique-visitor estimates. Account security records may also include successful and failed sign-in attempts, session activity, and logout time. Passwords and submitted URL query data are not written to analytics logs.
This information supports service analytics, account auditing, rate limiting, security, and abuse prevention. Access is restricted to authorized administrators. Analytics are estimates: bots, privacy tools, shared devices, network changes, caching, and similar factors can affect totals. You must not use LnkBit analytics to unlawfully identify, profile, or monitor people, and you are responsible for any notice or consent required for your campaigns.
Safety and enforcement
LnkBit may validate destinations, investigate reports, disable redirects, remove links, limit features, suspend or close accounts, and preserve relevant technical records when reasonably necessary to protect users, operate the service, enforce these Terms, or comply with lawful requests.
Action may be taken without advance notice when a link presents a security, legal, or abuse risk. If you believe a link or account was restricted by mistake, contact us with enough information to review the decision.
Availability and changes
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. Maintenance, security incidents, network failures, third-party outages, legal requirements, or product changes may interrupt redirects or analytics. Do not rely on a short link for emergencies, safety-critical uses, or as the only copy of important information.
Keep your own record of important destination URLs. LnkBit may introduce limits, modify features, or discontinue all or part of the service.
Intellectual property
LnkBit and its original software, interface, branding, and content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service as intended; they do not transfer ownership of LnkBit technology or branding.
You retain any rights you lawfully hold in the destinations and materials you submit, subject to the limited permission required to operate the service.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, LnkBit is provided without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, permanent link retention, destination safety, or complete analytics accuracy. You use short links and third-party destinations at your own risk.
To the extent permitted by law, LnkBit and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You are responsible for losses, claims, or reasonable costs resulting from your unlawful use, your destinations, or your material breach of these Terms, to the extent allowed by applicable law.
Changes, termination, and disputes
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the service, security practices, or legal requirements. The revised date will appear at the top of this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law.
You may stop using LnkBit at any time. We may terminate access for a serious or repeated breach. These Terms are governed by applicable law, and disputes must be brought before a court with lawful jurisdiction unless mandatory law provides otherwise. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
